Mr. Ott has received many awards for his outstanding contributions to the field of EMC.  Following is a listing of some of these awards:
 

• The IEEE EMC Society's EMC Hall of Fame Award "for decades of outstanding service to the EMC community as a leader in EMC education, research, and consulting." Presented in 2014.

• The Association of American Publishers has awarded John Wiley & Sons the 2009 Publishers Association Award (The PROSE Award) in the  Engineeering and Technology category, for the publication of "Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineering" by Henry W. Ott. This awards recognize books, journals and electronic products that best exemplify a sound contribution to professional and scholarly publishing, maintaining both the highest editorial standards and the highest standards of design and production.

• The 2000 IEEE  Third  Millennium Medal.  This award honors IEEE members for their outstanding lifelong contributions to their respective entities, in this case the EMC Society and the EMC field in general.

• Honorary Life Membership in the IEEE EMC Society.  This award is "to recognize his many years of service to the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility Society."

• The 1998 Richard R. Stoddard Award of the IEEE EMC Society for "outstanding contributions to EMC technology as an author, educator, researcher, and problem solver."

• The 1990 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility Best Paper Award as co-author of the paper "Effect of an Image Plane on Printed Circuit Board Radiation."

• The 1989 Lawrence G. Cumming Award of the IEEE EMC Society for "his contribution to EMC continuing education and service as a member of the board of directors."
• 
  
• Distinguished Technical Staff Award, 1982 Bell Laboratories for "major contributions to our work in the development of transmission systems and as an expert and consultant in the area of electronic noise and electromagnetic interference reduction."
