Basic Digital Design

 This one day seminar covers the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) concerns for digital logic systems operating with clock frequencies up to a few hundred MHz.  The seminar covers important design parameters and printed circuit board layout features, including the characteristics of different ground structures and the effectiveness of  various methods of decoupling.  In addition, models are developed for both differential-mode and common-mode radiation mechanisms, as well as the techniques used to control them.  Other topics include PCB transmission lines, reflections, and various termination methods.

 Although primarily aimed at electrical engineers; mechanical engineers, technicians, and printed circuit board designers have also found the material useful.
